Cornice is a decorative moulding used to finish off any room. Cornicing is a specialist trade going back hundreds of years and the cornice we use today is still made using traditional methods with casting plaster.

Cornice is still a very popular product and we are fortunate that Edinburgh and the surrounding areas has an abundance of properties that are suited to this product; many examples can be seen in Edinburgh's historic centre.

Cornice can come in many different styles from highly decorative ornate cornice to modern and plain. Cornice comes in three different sizes - Small, Medium and Large; the size used is dependent on the size of room and height of ceiling.

We can carry out repair work on existing cornice; from removing old paint and cleaning up the cornice to fitting new sections to match existing where there has been damage. Cornice is not limited to period properties and can look great in modern settings.
